How do Wakeshapers transform a wake into a Wave. We'll explain how it works and what it can do for you.
It's the fastest growing water sport in the world, wakesurfing. So how does it work?
Wake Shapers or Wake Gates work by adding turbulence and diverting the water on the opposite side of the boat, generating a pull in the wake towards the oxygen filled water creating a surfable wave.
Most modern Wake Boats, Wakeboarding Boats, or Wakesurf Boats have integrated wake devices that engage the wake plate with a push of the button, but how do you surf behind an older ski or wake boat? It's simple, NautiCurl has developed an after-market wake shaper that attaches to most ski boats with heavy duty suction cups.
The Wake Shaper is placed slightly below the waterline on the opposite side of the surfer and can easily be swapped from side to side for regular and goofy foot wakesurf riders. The NautiCurl Wake Shaper floats in case dropped and easily stows under a seat or in a compartment.
NautiCurl has 2 options for Wake Shapers, the original 2-cup wake shaper and the new "Flex" for boats with narrow chines, ridges or curvature on the side of the hull. Both work the same, but suction cups vary.
